White House Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Images Released
Democratic lawmakers have released a additional set of what they described as "troubling" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—some of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 unveiled later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Included in the prominent personalities seen in the first release are celebrities such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the pictures for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative remarked, insisting that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for openness, making public numerous documents of records, and demanding additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Statement
The photographs were disclosed without context, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to stop this White House cover-up and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these documents occurs alongside the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the Epstein matter.
