Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has withdrawn from her final two events in 2025 because of a health issue that has affected her in recent days.
Raducanu, aged 22 was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but opted to return home to recover ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.
Those preparations will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating for the upcoming season.
Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.
She again required medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.
Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the third set against Zhu because of the lower back problem that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.
She secured 28 victories in the current season and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.

Her coach was Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.
The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in in the coming months.
She mentioned that a three-day test period with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.
The player was close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.
Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
