Brassic Ends Its Run with Influenced by Tarantino Last Episode
The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their humorous show about a tight-knit bunch of likable chancers causing chaos in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the gang hole up in a pub with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

But the penultimate episode of this at first slow-moving but eventually gripping phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.
